An Urgent Cultural Matter

The
Remix.

A completely serious petition for Roy Rosenfeld to
finally release his unreleased remix of 'Let It Happen'.

Nearly two years of waiting. The people, the USBs,
and the sunrise sets are ready.

USBs ready.
Sunrises set.
People united.

The Official Global Petition to Free Roy Rosenfeld's Unreleased "Let It Happen" Remix

For nearly two years, the global community of emotionally unstable progressive house enthusiasts has lived under one question:

When will Roy Rosenfeld finally release his private remix of Tame Impala's "Let It Happen"?

We have waited patiently.

We have refreshed SoundCloud.

We have checked YouTube comments.

We have searched tracklists like investigators in a financial crime documentary.

We have watched low-quality festival recordings with the audio fidelity of a toaster inside a wind tunnel.

And still, nothing.

No official release.

No download link.

No Bandcamp.

No Beatport.

No "guys, soon."

No "working on clearance."

Not even a cryptic Instagram story with a white-label vinyl and a suspicious emoji.

At this point, this is no longer just a remix.

This is a cultural hostage situation.

A very respectful one.
With great admiration.
And absolutely no legal authority whatsoever.

Our Demands

We, the undersigned, respectfully and dramatically request that Roy Rosenfeld consider taking one of the following actions:

  1. 1.Release the remix officially.
  2. 2.Release it unofficially.
  3. 3.Leak it "accidentally."
  4. 4.Send it privately to every emotionally invested fan.
  5. 5.At the very least, acknowledge that we are not hallucinating and that this track actually exists.

Why This Matters

This remix has already caused irreversible emotional consequences in the global dance music community.

People have built entire personal narratives around it.

Friendships have been formed in comment sections.

Grown adults have whispered, "Bro, this version..." at 4:37 AM in dark rooms with excellent sound systems.

Some of us have considered learning music production just to recreate it ourselves, which would be a terrible outcome for everyone involved.

This is not anger.

This is love.

Love with excellent taste, poor emotional regulation, and a folder full of ripped set recordings named things like:

"Roy Let It Happen ID FINAL maybe best version.mp3"

A Message to Roy Rosenfeld

Dear Roy,

We say this with admiration, respect, and the kind of passive-aggressive affection only true fans can offer:

Free the remix.

The people are ready.

The speakers are ready.

The USBs are ready.

The sunrise sets are ready.

The WhatsApp groups are ready.

History is watching.

Kevin Parker may have let it happen.

But now, Roy, it is time for you to make it happen.

Add your name below if you believe this remix should no longer live exclusively in DJ sets, ripped recordings, and the collective imagination of people with excellent taste and questionable patience.

Free the Roy Rosenfeld "Let It Happen" Remix.

Because two years is not anticipation.

It is emotional damage.
